Work, commuting and everyday responsibilities can take up much of your time in Malaysia. You may want to meet new people without having many opportunities to expand your social circle.

Sweet On aims to give adults a place to get to know one another, share interests and build connections gradually. Whether you are looking for friendship or are open to a relationship, you can begin with an easy conversation.

Is Sweet On free to use?

Sweet On is currently completely free to use. At this stage, the aim is to welcome more members, give people more opportunities to meet and develop a respectful, friendly community.

Free access does not mean that you must answer every message, or that joining guarantees a friendship or relationship. You choose whom to talk to, when to reply and whether to continue getting to know someone.

Who is Sweet On for?

Sweet On is for adults aged 18 and over and is primarily intended for people in Malaysia. If you would like to meet people outside your usual circle, find shared interests or start with friendship, you can try joining.

The platform has Chinese, English and Bahasa Melayu interfaces. You can also mention the languages you prefer to use in your profile.

How to sign up

Open the official Sweet On website and choose the sign-up option. Follow the instructions to select a registration method and enter the required information. Complete any verification requested by the system.

Read the terms of use, privacy information and profile visibility choices before finishing registration. Then open My profile to add photos, your city, interests and an introduction.

Give your real age and use photographs that you have the right to use. Your public profile does not need your full address, identity documents or bank information.

Three things to try after joining

First, complete your profile. Sharing what you enjoy and the kinds of people you would like to meet gives others more to talk about than a photograph alone.

Next, open Explore to browse member profiles and filter by city, age or interests. When someone catches your interest, read their introduction before deciding whether to save the profile or say hello.

Finally, send a message connected to something in their profile. For example: “I noticed you enjoy photography too. Do you prefer photographing street scenes or landscapes?” A specific opening leaves more room for a conversation than sending everyone the same greeting.

Help create a comfortable community

Respect other people's privacy and their right to decline. Avoid repeatedly demanding replies, and do not make loans, investments or money transfers a condition of getting to know each other.

If an interaction makes you uncomfortable, you can stop talking and use the report or block functions. When you are ready, start by completing your own profile. Meeting new people does not need to happen quickly: let a real interest become your first hello.
